Comment 5 for bug 121200

Why is the default checkout http rather than anonymous bzr+ssh ? People stuck behind HTTP only firewalls are the minority. I would think if there is a config option, it would be to turn on branch-via-HTTP mode rather than specifying the username.

If the default protocol is ssh, then there is no need to store the Launchpad credentials in bzr preferences - Launchpad knows who you are already.
