Comment 6 for bug 1342646

Verified with the package in lucid-proposed. For the record that second review allowed me to spot a tiny mistake in the branch (one variable was not removed and should have). It's completely harmless this time (an unused instance variable: https://pastebin.canonical.com/123968/) , but validates the usefulness of this excercise :)
