Indeed, ubuntu images use local caching resolver in the form of unbound. It binds to localhost:53 (udpt/tcp, lo, 127.0.0.1) on the host. There is also systemd-resolver on 127.0.0.53:53 - not used by resolver.
Is it the default ubuntu server behavior here?
