Well, its done, but my hope that I would be able to find the fault myself, seems gone.

I first had to add the ptrace and sysadmin caps to the docker container, otherwise strace cant run properly, but thanks to the ooogling earlier, I had learned that.

The question is how long I should let the container run? It seems stuck, and I dont seem to get the same econnrefused error as without strace.
I did check that my new container gets the same problem as the official one.
