Changing the scaling to 1 by launching kicad with (from https://wiki.gnome.org/HowDoI/HiDpi) GDK_SCALE=1 renders the viewport the correct size but all the fonts, icons, etc. are too small.

Launching with GDK_SCALE=2 produces the quarter sized viewport in accelerated mode but some text is too big and some normal sized.
