I wasn't being critical, however, the fact the Windows build instructions are years out of date and I seem to be the first one to notice this suggests that few people build it on Windows, or if they do they are not doing it from scratch using the instructions.

Or, perhaps they gave up and didn't report it.

If not for the fact my work patterns are pinned to Windows I would have given up and tried a Linux build.
