Footprint Editor does not expand on macOS

Bug Description
On macOS Sierra 10.12.6, the workspace for the footprint library editor does not expand when a window is expanded/
(Have also noticed it with `CvPcb` too)
* open `pcbnew.app`
* open `footprint editor` from toolbar.
* try to expand window.
