Bug Description
For context: I come from eagle and I usually add board outlines with possible connector positioning in a separate library to prevent redrawing the outline every time.
Would it possible to enable edge.cut layer in the footprint editor? I have seen workaround in rename a current layer from a component but this seems a bit too hacky to me. Any suggestions?
My current workflow is to define a board outline in the F.SilkS layer with its connector position center marks. Then tracing the board outline and placing the connectors. Then deleting the board outline component. This also prevents an annoyance that the board outline is often inadvertently selected.
