ngspice is looking for it in the current directory (should be /bin in the Windows install) and in the directory with the "HOME" environmental variable.
On my professional Windows system I do not have HOME, but HOMEDRIVE and LOCALAPPDATA. LINUX has HOME, I guess, what about OSX and others?
I could add search paths if we agree on some common directories.
