Funny. On my Debian GNU/Linux Jessie this problem does *not* occur in Qt4 programs (including KDE software). While GTK- (v2 and v3, except of Mozilla’s software) and Tk-based interfaces are affected.
$ konqueror --version
Qt: 4.8.6
KDE Development Platform: 4.14.2
Konqueror: 4.14.2
