I'd suggest not to wait for an official fix, which is expected in April, 2011, but to fix it yourself.
My solution:
- grab libexiv2-9 and libexiv2-dev from Debian testing (current version is 0.20-2) and install them,
- get source packages for kdegraphics and rebuild them,
- install the rebuild libkexiv2-8 package (no need to update the other ones),
- you might want to mark this package "hold" in order to prevent it from being updated, at least until it gets fixed in Ubuntu.
