Why should a patch for KDE 3 be released? KDE 4 comes in one month, and I'm sure that many users are already using it (me, for instance). If at all, there would be a source code patch, but people who apply source codes rather than installing packages are in most cases programmers.
@Andriy Rysin (#27): Keyboard layouts are not the only problem. I do not use different keyboard layouts, but I still find this bug annoying because a very big part of my KDE installation is to be accessed by shortcuts.
