After installing from mini.iso:

$ cat /etc/environment
PATH="/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games:/usr/local/games"

so I don't think this is an issue specific to the cloud images; once a fix is introduced to packages in the archive, we should pick it up automatically.
