Without reproducible scenario, it's hard to pin point what went wrong.

The lxd issue referred was addressed and closed.

With Juju 2.1 tip and lxd 2.4.1, I certainly do not see anything suspicious in /var/lib/lxd/containers/< my-juju-created-container>-0/rootfs.

I will mark this as Incomplete until we get a re-occurrence and repeatable steps. Feel free to re-open if you have more information.
