Agreed the initial upload will take some time, but one of the main benefits of Resources is subsequent deployments from models, once the resource is on the controller, should be significantly faster.

The IBM charms are a great use case as the file sizes tend to be quite large. Thus the recommendation is to upload once to the controller, and then deploy multiple times in models. However, it seems the transfer in a local network via Juju is still taking significantly longer than expected.

Any ideas on how to debug this would be greatly appreciated.
