@mike - please could you try dropping 802.3ad from you bond configuration and use the default.

I believe I see a problem when using that mode; the clone of ubuntu-15.10-server-cloudimg-amd64-root.tar.gz seems to hang. And running a wget on the latest kernel tarball (from kernel.org) hangs part way through the download too.
