Once I logged in, I was presented with what the image below displays for the desktop. Seems to have a lot of things missing compared to the screenshots on the website.

Bug Description

once logged in the background was not the same and as for the programs some where missing, ie docky and the application launcher.

This is not a bug but rather considered potential security risk since the user is not aware of the server's presence, though it is meant to be there. a blueprint has been submitted to fix this.

here are some updates:
*gnome-do:
checked and made sure mono was installed in version 2.5 and 3.x (for gnome do to start correctly). As for gnome-do randomly crashing or not starting up it may have to do with the bug here (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-do/+bug/479779) and as well as here(https://bugs.launchpad.net/do/+bug/488099) regarding it not starting up on login.

*application launcher (the ubuntu logo on the dock):
the application launcher was not included since there was a memory leak.

*background:
it was not setup as default however is still included, will update that soon.

also the extra linux kernel packages are being removed.
