Bug Description

Spanish:

Edit: Estoy usando Karmic

I try to use the privative Nvidia drivers for my graphic card, but when I click on the "Activate" button of jockey, a dialog box appear shakes one second and then close, and appears other and says I have not privileges to activate the drivers.

If I try the same becoming root, when I click on the "Activate" button, a dialog box appear whit a loading bar, but in 0% is closed.

Looks like that: https://bugs.launchpad.net/jockey/+bug/361454
BTW, i have a new state on the first dialog box, appears, shakes one second BUT then NOT close. The problem is the buttons, i click but do nothing.

I had the same problem here on lucid beta:

2010-04-21 20:18:00,186 DEBUG: XorgDriverHandler device sections ({0: ['\tIdentifier\t"Default Device"\n', '\tDriver\t"nvidia"\n']})

but after update

jockey-common 0.5.8-0ubuntu6 -> 0.5.8-0ubuntu8
jockey-gtk 0.5.8-0ubuntu6 -> 0.5.8-0ubuntu8

it worked fine.

I am using 0.5.8-0ubuntu8.1 (lucid-updates)
on a Kubuntu 10.04 machine.

It gives me the same authentication problems.
It will not accept my (valid!) sudo password and refuses to activate the recommended Nvidia drivers.
