JHelioviewer streams image data via port 8090. If that port is inaccessible from your computer, e.g. due to restrictions of your local network, JHelioviewer cannot connect to its server. If that should be the case and you cannot change your network's settings to receive data via port 8090, you can still use our web application www.helioviewer.org to access the same data.
