I used nova delete command and it has made node 'cleaning'-> 'available'. I think there was a 'delete' state too, but I'm not sure.

On this image (http://docs.openstack.org/developer/ironic/_images/states.svg) there is no API way to abort wait call-back state for deployment.

deployment -> wait call-back -> [no abort via API]
