The Hardy backport was attempting to upgrade from flash 9 to 10 beta. This Intrepid backport would be a transition from the 32-bit to 64-bit alpha version of flash 10 for 64-bit systems. The benefit is that nspluginwrapper is no longer needed, which would eliminate the related bugs. While I think the risk of regressions is a lot lower than the Hardy backport situation, I agree that testing still needs to be done.

As for flashplugin-nonfree 10.0.15.3ubuntu1 on Ubuntu Jaunty, I have not experienced any problems so far, which is in great contrast to the previous nspluginwrapper situation.
