TODO: check current osx packaging script (osx-build.sh) for required changes:
autogen.sh and configure are currently separate options:

(osx packaging in trunk & stable is partially broken, but as long as one doesn't configure to build as osxapp (for bundling), it works ok -> osx-build.sh probably should be kept in sync with autotool build system changes)
