Did you import the WMF file via internal routines or via UniConvertor?

The file type differs (in 'File > Open…'):
"Windows Metafiles (*.wmf)" -> internal
"Windows Metafile (*.wmf)" -> UniConvertor

If you double-clicked the file in the Explorer, the one listed first (in the drop-down list of the 'File > Open…' dialog) gets used.
