On Ubuntu 11.04, bzr revision 10804:

Fixed when launching from the command line with the full path ( #inkscape /test/Täble1b.pdf).
Not fixed when using a relative path (#cd /test ; inkscape Täble1b.pdf).

No problem when opening with the UI.
