Inkscape don't open dialog box save when usb disk

i have a classrom with a 40 students, they discover when the usb its plugin the pc, the save/save how/save copy dont work, only whe the usb its in the pc....Windows 7.

not its the same situation, in this case not open anything from the usb,
only for conecct the usb crash de save dialog

could you provide more detailed steps to reproduce?
- for example, is it a crash or does the save dialog fail to open?
- is there a crash message ?
- does it occur when you insert the USB drive or does it occur when you try to open the save dialog?
- at what point do you you insert the USB drive, before opening Inkscape or after ?
- have you done any other actions before this occurs?

The dialog not open when usb its plug, not necesary when open from usb,
the fail it's at the moment of connect the usb, for example, if you
umount the usb then the dialog open, if you connect again the usb, when
clic in save, the dialog cant open. if open a file from usb and clic
save the dialg don't open, but if umount the usb, and click again save,
the dialog open, not problem if file its open the usb, don't save if the
usb its plug in the pc

when you load a file from a USB stick, are you loading it from the root directory of the USB? If so, could you try loading and saving to a subdirectory on the USB stick.
