I don't experience the crash in trunk, Inkscape 1.2-dev (3495c164d6, 2022-01-17), though I still get inconsistent behavior between GUI and non-GUI modes.

In GUI, we get a file with sorta sensible values (%%BoundingBox: 0 113 0 113) and in CLI, we get no file generated.

Anyway, I've manually migrated it to Inkscape's new bug tracker on GitLab (https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inbox/-/issues/6183), and closed it here (as we no longer use this as our bug tracker).
