With current GUI options, the font size can only be defined in px aka SVG user units (specifying a different unit requires one to resort to the built-in XML Editor where the size in custom units will be automatically converted to px). In case that RFE bug #168164 gets implemented, the steps of such an option (button or keyboard shortcut) should probably refer to the unit used to display the font size in the GUI.
