Bug Description
Inkscape lists X fonts (*.pcf or *.bdf) in the font family dropdown. When selecting these fonts, Inkscape uses the default font.
I expect either to see no X fonts in the dropdown or that Inkscape can render these fonts.
Pango can render X fonts when using the xft or cairo backend.
For example, Firefox can use X fonts while LibreOffice does not support them.

*.pcf and *.bdf are bitmap fonts - Inkscape does not support any bitmap fonts for rendering text on-canvas.
