Try setting the text letter spacing to 1 or any from the above examples.
Weird, huh ? I have personally tested it on both operating systems. I realise I'm a newbie with Inkscape, but what is going on ?? I thought maybe it was the font because it was custom made (just early this morning) but it shows up fine in any other text editor. So I tried with other fonts and it's the exact same thing !
I've attached the sample with Arial set.
Apparently to "fix" it, I had to copy-paste objects one by one into a new .svg file. I may have done something extra but I don't remember... I tried *SO* many things.
