Reproduced with Inkscape 0.48.1 and 0.48+devel r10093 on OS X 10.5.8 (i386)

Similar to other reported renderer glitches, e.g. like
Bug #381022 in Inkscape: “view rendering glitch for complex paths”

and various others.

Will hopefully be addressed/fixed when switching the internal renderer to cairo (planned for Inkscape 0.49).
