Why do mix text and icon ?
Using only icons with tooltips will allow some gain of space.

Can't we replace the two buttons linear / radial with one button with two states
Remove "Select:" text. It is quite obvious what we are talking about.

I join my proposal for stops editing.
A popup toggles when you click edit
(maybe we can remove the edit text and makes the popup appears when you click the arrow at the right of stop name)
It allows easy editing of colocated stops.
I didn't add a way to rename the stops.
One could add a textbox above the color chooser but...
Does someone really care about naming the stops ?
Naming gradient makes sense (silver, gold, italian flag...) but stops ?
=> Do we need to bloat file size (and UI) with info nobody cares of ?
 => So do we need an input method for naming stops
