Comment 8 for bug 559140

For testing I had to remove the configuration settings for the 'Wacom Bamboo' tablet from your settings file (no extended input device available here) and failed to reproduce the issue: adding nodes still worked by double-clicking the path in the node editor (Inkscape 0.47+devel r9300 on OS X 10.5.8).

Can someone test with a tablet if possibly conflicting snap or node-editing settings prevent adding nodes with the pen?

Could this be similar or related to <http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.graphics.inkscape.user/13251> (fixed in r9219)?
