Could you please provide some detailed steps to reproduce this bug?

I've tried (Ubuntu 9.10, Inkscape 0.47pre4 and bzr8961) with:
1. Draw a path with the pencil (or a shape with the rectangle tool).
2. Duplicate with Ctrl+D.
3. Move the path with the keyboard arrows.
But everything works as expected (no crash).
