This indeed does happen, but from what I gather, it might be the intended behaviour. That is, it colours grayscales to "redscales" and also all the other colours are shifted towards red. This target colour can be set using Filters > Filter Editor.

If you believe this is indeed a bug, please describe what the result should look like.
