I get the same result: the rendering of the cloned text changes on each line from rather pixellated to almost antialiased. Recreating the text without clones or transforms produces the same result.

via 'Save as...' the antialiasing and file sizes are ok as expected. I get the same result when using 'Print...' > 'Preview'. The resulting pdf file size is 7'764 bytes, even smaller as your 'test.46.pdf' file.
Your other test files were text-only as well or did you see the same rendering effect with different objects - besides the increased file size?
