a couple more diagnostics i just ran into:
-once you have the artifacts displaying (the long lines), if you export to pdf, the lines appear.
-with the artifacts present, go into the text, edit it (type a letter then backspace), and notice the lines go away.. even if you undo, the lines are gone. if you export to pdf the lines will not be present.
is anyone currently looking into this?
