Comment 22 for bug 380501

If I check the option "Export area is page" from a drawing with a little image in middle of an A4 page for example, then I expect an eps with the size of an A4 page with a little image in middle. Why is this checkbox option existent, but without effect (I have compared both generated eps bitwise, with and without "Export area is page", result: exactly the same file aside from date)??

Two options:
1. Remove this checkbox option from export dialog (not favored)
2. Add a transparency or white box with page size to the exported eps automatically

Workaround:
Use the PS-export! Here the option "Export area is page" does what it must do!
