path deselects by using mouse+space

I select a path and take the tool for editing nodes and handles (F2) for changing a node. If the node I like to change isn't in the window area, I use mouse+space to move the area there. But in this step, the path deselects.

This should be fixed by the patch for Bug #623660 “[Node tool] panning with space+LMB fails”
Panning with mouse+space on the node tool now preserves the node selection .
