Bug Description
Hi all,
It would be great to have a new feature in Inkscape that would allow someone to select a group of objects then modify the color properties of these objects, but just like a filter: proportionally on all objects.
Right now, if one selects a group of objects and only want to modify the light or saturation of this group, it actually assign the same color to all objects instead of working only on the saturation and that, proportionally on each of them individually.
USAGE EXAMPLES: Select a group of objects and:
- Apply a black&white filter (red, orange, etc. - or set saturation to 0) so that the selection becomes B&W accordingly;
- Change the saturation to all objects by "that much" proportionally on everyone;
- Change Hue on all objects, by minus 5;
- Colorize each objects with that color;
- Play with color balance / contrast / etc.
This is very useful, for example, when you create color charts, then want to stress a part: you take everything else and reduce the saturation and increase the light proportionally on each objects. Right now this is a big job to do manually.
Thank you for this great drawing tool.
Best regards.
You can already use the Effects>Color commands. They allow you to lower or increase the hue, saturation and light of a selection. Ok, you can't choose the amount, and thus it can be improved.
Could you confirm it fits your needs?
