What version of Inkscape are you using? Currently in our development version there is now an eraser tool. However, the automatic tool switching does not seem to be working correctly after the first switch on my Intuos 2 (which is why I am assigning to you JonCruz).
If you are using the last official released version 0.46 (or before), there was no eraser tool for it to utilize. If you are using a development version, there is an option in the Inkscape Preferences dialog under the Mouse section to "Switch tool based on tablet device". |
