Comment 0 for bug 262865

Filters which use combination of Gaussian blur and composite effect render with artefacts in form of small unblurred horizontal lines. The filters that cause problems are "Eched glass" from /usr/share/inkscape/examples/filters.svg file and filter described by Kelan in this thread: http://www.inkscapeforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1466 (attached below)
