I have not been able to reproduce this behaviour when opening the dxf file simultaneously in DWG Trueview and doing multiple saves from Inkscape. It is possible that this behaviour may be unique to AutoCAD. Perhaps AutoCAD is locking the file in a manner similar to what database programs like Microsoft Access sometimes do.
