Comment 84 for bug 179988

Ulf and Adrian, this is a good step forward. Patched and built 0.46 release SVN 17943 and printing is now the right size. Great work! At first I thought there were no more bitmaps but when I zoomed right in I could see them there, but still greatly improved. Colour printing seems to work pretty well too (used a Apple Colour Laserwriter PS driver). Didn't print blurs at all as far as I can tell.

So now it seems the remaining issues are;
* Transparency - fix - GTK patch?
* bitmaps vs. vector in prints - much better - only affects spool file size now really, as the quality is higher than before - fix - ?
* blurs not appearing - fix - ?

Patch/Diff Note:
The first two patches apply cleanly with TortoiseSVN, but I keep getting errors trying to patch with the last part - ui/dialog/print.cpp - using Tortoise. It complained about line mismatches with both the current version and the last version of your patch. Anyway, patched manually and built on SVN 17943. I'm puzzled, because even after I patched manually and generated my own diff patch and try to reapply that to the SVN version, it still complains! Anyway, that's not the biggest deal.
