yes, indeed.
I modified the font-family to be Arial, and created some normal text and saved it, and now when I attempt to print, the only message I get is the following:

C:\Python25\APP>python inkcl.py

(inkscape.exe:180): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_file_system_win32_get_info: assertion `
g_path_is_absolute (filename)' failed
cairo_win32_surface_create: The handle is invalid.
