flip, rotate or scale a LPE object

When I flip, rotate or scale an object with a "bend path" effect, it does not act as I expect.

The Red path has a "bend path" lpe applied
The green one is the same converted into path, it acts as a reference for us. This is the result we naturally expect for the transformation of the red path.

I think bug #172137 is a specific issue of this bug.

Yes, indeed, in the last version I tried, scaling and flipping were working fine.
Trust me, this was a serious issue when working with LPE.

I can't watch the video (it's been removed) but I think I'm having the same problems. Just in case, here's how I reproduce it:

apply the bend path effect to an object
Press either h or v with the object selected and watch move across the screen!

I'm using the prerelease of 0.47 that was released a 17th June on Ubuntu 9.04

I confirm this bug is not fully corrected.
Scaling looks good, but flipping and rotating distort the shape.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Draw a rectangle.
2. Apply Bend LPE.
3. Bend the shape.
4. Select the shape with the selector.
5. Flip or rotate.

The shape is distorted after the mouse is released.

Patch tested on Windows XP, Inkscape trunk rev. 13986. Flip, rotate and scale work as expected. No regression found so far.
