That was an early idea for the "Report Bugs" page. The idea was to explain to the average user how the bug team / developers work with their reports in hopes of making users more aware of the work happening after they filed their report, the amount of effort involved, and how they can help to improve the turnaround.

With the new bug page we went a different way and I think we achieved a very good result, so this page is not needed anymore. The interested user might refer to the link to Simon Tatham's page, which has the general idea.

The gist was that gdb commands do not belong on the "Report Bugs" page and the "Debugging" page might need an overhaul instead (e.g. there are no instructions for Windows at this time). It's not extremely urgent, as I'd consider using gdb only for advanced users anyway (i.e. small group of people) and we could make it work so far, but in certain scenarios (mainly while trying to determine the cause of the more complicated bugs) it might be nice to have instructions around that the average user can understand and work with.
