I think it would be better to define a unified format for managing SVG
files in the clipboard, and share it between free design applications.
As I'm not a coder I can't tell if this is possible, but sounds to me
like something that Adobe applications do.
It would be nice to have the ability to copy and paste svg data directly
in inkscape, scribus, gimp, open office, etc.
Using a png copy at a specified resolution would be nice if that isn't
possible, but managing the real vector data would be imo far better.
