The first issue is that there is no single style of TIFF image. The
standard is very complex and different software implements different
subsets of it.
The second issue is that most now are considering PDF "the" format for
professional printing. Currently Inkscape->Scribus->PDF is a strong
workflow for many people. CMYK color values are being added to Inkscape and
Scribus will be passing on use of that.
