Thanks, looks like I will need to take it to GTK.

Although I didn't quite understand what I should do after installing gtk in MSY, I did:

pacman -S mingw-w64-x86_64-gtk2

Then is the idea to run Inkscape? Or is there supposed to be a new gtk-demo.exe somewhere?
