I too would love to have this feature. The place I think it
would be nice to have it would be as part of a group. For
example, double-clicking on a group enters that group as if
it were a layer (very nice feature by the way); it would be
ideal if that were to then enable a connector point
definition tool that would then light up when trying to
connect to the group.
